MOON BAR
Moon Bar is a rooftop venue located in Flushing, New York, redesigned from an underutilized hotel rooftop into a vibrant nightlife destination. With sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline, the concept combined the energy of a club with the relaxed atmosphere of a bar, enhanced by colorful LED lighting and dramatic night views.
Solution
The project aimed to create a fresh visual identity that appealed to a younger audience while complementing the sophisticated rooftop experience. The brand needed to embody energy, social connection, and a modern metropolitan vibe.
Brand Identity Development
The Moon Bar logo symbolizes people coming together under the moonlight, celebrating and enjoying the city views. The letters “M” and “N” represent individuals, while the two “O”s signify both the moon and the joy of shared experiences. Although more experimental and dynamic logo concepts were explored, the final mark was selected for its balance of modernity and timelessness. The brand package included logo design, indoor and outdoor signage, menu designs, invitations, digital and print advertising, and a website.
Leadership and Role
We oversaw every phase of the Moon Bar branding project—from conceptual development. We provided the creative vision, directed all brand asset designs, and ensured that the vibrant lighting and rooftop ambiance were fully reflected in the visual identity. Our responsibilities included managing design execution, supervising production, and coordinating all deliverables to maintain a cohesive and high-quality brand experience.
Collaboration and Management
All collaboration and project management for Moon Bar were conducted within the United States. I worked directly with local contractors, signage fabricators, and printing vendors to deliver each brand element. The process required detailed oversight to align visual consistency across physical installations, printed materials, and digital platforms.
